VOICE LESSON ENROLLEMENT INFORMATION
I welcome all from beginner to professional, all ages and voice types.
Please read the 6-step orientation information below in the order it is presented and reply to the questionnaire at the bottom.
STEP 1
INTRODUCTION
Technique comes before style. A singer or speaker who uses the natural and correct vocal technique can apply it to any musical genre or vocal field. My students come from such diverse backgrounds as classical, musical theater, jazz, pop, rhythm & blues, country, and more.
Except for the introductory lesson, the first half of the lessons is for technical work and the second half is for repertoire work. You are welcome to bring any piece from any genre (or speaking material) to your lessons. Skype is the main platform for lessons. Typically tablets, laptops and phones are used. Larger screens are advantageous.
Lessons are about quality, and not quantity. Weekly lessons are not required. You may choose a recurring lesson schedule or call me to schedule lessons whenever you wish. Daily practice is critical regardless of the frequency of the lessons.
STEP 2
SCHEDULING and GOOGLE STUDIO CALENDAR
I will send you an invitation to give you access to the Google studio calendar. It's for viewing only, and not for self-scheduling. To request lessons please call ENTER PHONE NUMBER. My regular teaching hours are THINK ABOUT EST everyday. You can request any blank time-slot between those hours. I leave 15 - 30-min. CONSIDER spaces between lessons. Please make sure your Google calendar is set in EST, request lessons in EST terms, and use the weekly view.
STEP 3
INTRODUCTORY LESSON
The introductory lesson is comprehensive, 90 minutes long, and suitable for adults and children alike. In the first 60 minutes I teach the fundamentals of The Vocathletic System. In the last 30 minutes we do specific exercises and I guide the student in applying those fundamentals to vocalization right away. All lesson recordings are for the private study of the students. They cannot be made public without the mutual permission of the teacher and the student.
